Amanda Gertrude Boles

Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Gertrude Boles, age 99, of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Boles passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Bethesda Nursing Home in Cookeville. She was born October 30, 1914 in Jackson County to the late William Crabtree and Mary Stacy Dillon. Mrs. Boles was a homemaker and associated with Antioch Holiness Church. She is survived by three daughters, Myrtle Carter, Norma Smith and Patricia LaFever all of Cookeville, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents,Mrs. Boles was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Boles, three sisters; three brothers, one daughter, Irma Thompson and two grandchildren. Bro. Howard Dailey will officiate the services.
