Allie Moody

Funeral services for Mrs. Allie Lois Moody, age 95 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday November 25 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery in Overton County. Mrs. Moody died Sunday afternoon November 23, 2014 at her home. She was born September 10, 1919 in Overton County, Tennessee to the late William McDonald and Mary Jane Reid Williams. A devoted Christian lady, she attended church at Hardys Chapel for many years. After moving to Cookeville she attended Summerfield United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Moody; five sisters, Plina and Gladys Williams, Covie Harris, Mrs. Ed Gaw, and Martha Jane Smith; and six brothers, Zerry Smith, Lloyd, Earl, Clura, Zina, and Bona Williams; and two sons-in law, Charles Sullivan and Bobby Williams. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Wanda Sullivan, June and John Hood all of Cookeville; four grandchildren, Sherri (Scott) Lytal, Gregory (Ginny) Sullivan, Brandon Hood, Monica (Willie) Cason,; three great grandchildren, Justin (Rachel) Lytal, Loren Lytal, and Courtney Howell; and three great great grandchildren, Noah Jones, Jeremiah (J J) Jones and Izabella Hood. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Moody's family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
