Allen Leroy Brooks

Memorial services for Allen Leroy Brooks, age 67, of Cookeville, will be held on Tuesday June 8, 2010, 5:00 p.m. at the Unity Church of the Cumberlands, 823 E. 10th Street, Cookeville. Mr. Brooks died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Allen was born December 6, 1942 in Hecla, South Dakota to the late Claude William Brooks and Ethel Luetta Wilson Brooks. He was a retired mechanic and truck driver having driven for Western and A&R Truck Lines. His family includes a son; Todd Brooks and wife Andrea of Sharon, South Carolina and a daughter; Dawn Tesch of Rock Hil, South Carolina. He is also survived by two brothers; Edward Brooks and wife Betty of Thermal CA, and William Brooks and wife Nancy of Cookeville. Allen was grandfather to six grandchildren; Brian, Kelsey, Jordan and Megan Seehafer, BreeAnna Tesch and Emily Brooks. He also had many nieces and nephews, and one special niece, Belita Wood. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his first wife; Linda Brooks…two brothers, Joseph and Donald Brooks…three sisters, Irene Hubert, Claudine Gilborne, and Ione Livingstone.
