Allen's early years in Glasgow laid the foundation for a life characterized by love, dedication, and service. Allen's love extended to his son, Michael Mansell, and siblings, Loretta Qualls (Jim), David Mansell (Lisa), Jimmy Mansell (Janet), and Eddie Mansell (Robin), all of whom shared in the joys and sorrows of life's journey with him. He was a cherished son-in-law to Ruby Wheeler and a supportive brother-in-law to Mark Wheeler (Jennifer). His nieces and nephews will remember him as a kind and loving presence in their lives.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Mansell and Nellie Richards Mansell, who instilled in him the values of hard work and kindness that he carried throughout his life.

Professionally, Allen was known for his skill and dedication. He began his career as a mechanic at Russell Stover's Candies in Cookeville, where his attention to detail and problem-solving abilities were greatly valued.
