COOKEVILLE, TN-A graveside service and interment for Mrs. Lillian Aline Lawson, age 97 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Warren Cemetery. Her family will receive friends immediately following the service at Warren Family Cemetery (Malone Ln, Cookeville, TN 38506).
Mrs. Lawson died Wednesday March 13, 2024 at Bethesda Healthcare in Cookeville.
She was born June 27, 1926 in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late David Andrew and Lela Ola Warren Norris.
Mrs. Lawson was a lady of many talents and interests. Her late husband Donohue worked in oil fields, they lived in many different places before settling in Grand Junction. CO where they resided for over 30 years. Following his death in 2000, she moved to Cookeville where her grandparents and parents had been raised. She was person of great faith and will be remembered as a fine Christian lady. She was a talented homemaker who enjoyed cross stitching and painting. She loved dogs and had worked as a dog groomer. She
loved the written word, including poetry, and wrote poetry herself.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donohue Reynolds Lawson; a brother, David Norris and by a sister, Adele Norris Shrek.
She is survived by daughter, Janet L Lakin, of Cookeville; son, Stephen and wife Alana Lawson, of Littleton, Colorado; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
