Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Alline Davis, 85 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday August 17 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Gaw officiating. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Davis died Wednesday evening August 14, 2013 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born June 10, 1928 in Bedford County, Tennessee to the late John and Cynthia Glascow Sons. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and has been an active member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church since 1966. She also served as a babysitter for multiple families in the community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hoyt M. Davis; daughter, Anita Leftwich; sister, Carrie Smith; and six brothers, Emmett Sons, John Sons, Jefferson Sons, Thurman Sons, Elmer Sons, and Claude Sons. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Peggy Davis of Corunna MI, Brian and Tinda Davis of Franklin, TN, and Tracy and Judy Davis of Cookeville; five grandchildren, Matthew (Christie) Leftwich, Justin (Hannah) Davis, Ethan Davis, Jared Davis, and Olivia Davis; two great grandchildren, Fisher Leftwich, and Emma Grace Davis; and a sister, Mattie (John) Walden of Eulee, FL. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Davis family will receive friends Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
