Adrian Thomas Vest, known affectionately as Adrian (Yaya) to his family and friends, left this world too soon on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, in Cookeville, TN, at the age of 20 due to an automobile accident. Born on March 12, 2004, in Elizabethtown, KY, Adrian brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
Adrian was a beacon of light in the lives of his loved ones. He is survived by a caring family, including his mother, Sarah Vest; father, Michael Gonzalez, stepmother Lori Cartwright his brothers, Abel and Elijah Vest; and his sister, Celine Hernandez of Puerto Rico. The love of his life, his fiancée, Londyn Cook, of Cookeville, also survives him. He was a cherished grandson to Mary Elbabaa of Griffin, GA, and Michael Growse of Canada. His memory will be held dear by his uncle, Shawn (Crystal) Rowan, and aunts, Rana Kahtani and Dana Smith, along with a host of loving cousins. Adrian was preceded in death by his dad, David Vest, his grandmother, Margaret Growse, and his grandfather, David Elbabaa.
A proud 2022 graduate of Cookeville High School, Adrian was known for his sharp wit and his ability to make every classroom burst with laughter. His academic journey continued at Vol State Community College in Cookeville, where he was majoring in accounting. Adrian's dedication to his studies was matched only by his commitment to enjoying every moment of his young life.
Adrian's interests were as eclectic as his personality. He was a lover of music, finding rhythm and harmony in every genre. His passion for video games and Anime was well-known among his friends and family, and he could often be found debating the finer points of his favorite shows or sharing his latest gaming achievements. Adrian's love for spending quality time with his siblings and friends was unparalleled. He created a world around him that was full of joy and endless entertainment.
To those who knew him, Adrian was the epitome of someone who was goofy, loving, and loyal. His infectious laugh could light up a room, and his sense of humor brought smiles to the faces of everyone he met. Adrian's love for life was evident in his loyalty to his family and friends, and he will be remembered for the warmth and care he extended to all.
Adrian's presence in our lives was a gift, one that we will continue to cherish and celebrate. His zest for life and the happiness he spread will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Adrian's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of family and friendship.
