BAXTER-Funeral services for Aaron Donald Jones, 77 of Silver Point, will be Friday, September 25 at 2 p.m. at Silver Point Church of Christ. Interment will follow in G.V. Herren Family Cemetery. Mr. Jones died Wednesday morning, September 23, 2015 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1938 in Putnam County to the late Joe and Eunice Herren Jones. He was a retired brick mason. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was also a member of Silver Point Saddle Club, loved to ride horses and read. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dale Jones, brother and sister-in-law Nelson and Ruby Jones. Survivors include wife of 37 years Beverly Kay Ashburn Jones (Married January 22, 1978 in Smithville, TN) of Silver Point, daughter Jamie Renee Jones and fiancée Joseph Partida of Silver Point, son and daughter-in-law Steven and Trish Jones of Orlando, FL, step-sons and daughters-in-law Tommy and Gillian Thomas of Mt. Juliet, Jimmy and Lori Thomas of Silver Point, sister and brother-in-law Joanna and Charles Dix, brother and sister-in-law Rellon and Linda Jones all of Silver Point, seven grandchildren: Dakota Walter Morgan, Damon Aaron Morgan, Danie K. Morgan, Levi Jones, Joseph Jones, Breece Jones and Haley Jones, mother-in-law Marylene Starnes of Silver Point, sister and brother-in-law Mary and Al Sierocinski, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home Thursday from 4 to 8 PM and at the church after 12 Noon Friday. Bro. John Whitson will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
