BAXTER-Funeral services for Aaron Winston Dyer, 79 of Cookeville will be Wednesday, December 4 at 1 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday after 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Dyer died Saturday morning, November 30, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 21, 1940 in Putnam County to the late Jennings W. and Emogene Robinson Dyer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents: Bert and Sallie Bettie Boyd Robinson, Willis and Pearlie Victoria Bryant Dyer and America "Merkie" Austin Dyer and a nephew Tim Dyer. He was a 1958 graduate of Baxter Seminary. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant with the Air Force with 20 years of service. He also retired from the Cookeville Post Office with 10 years of service. He was also a member of the Baxter Seminary/Upperman High Alumni Association. Survivors include wife of 60 years (Married December 27, 1958 in Baxter) Barbara Billings Dyer of Cookeville, daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Kurt Phillips of Hermitage, TN, sons and daughters-in-law Ken and Sue Dyer of Franklin, TN, Jeff and Sheila Dyer of Pensacola, FL, Randy and Angie Dyer of Cookeville, sister and brother-in-law Brenda and Larry McNabb of Danville, CA, brother and sister-in-law JB and Betty Dyer of Deland, FL, grandchildren: Casey (Audra) Dyer, Corey Dyer, Jacob Dyer, Hannah Dyer, Erin (Luke) Hill, Nicholas Phillips, Justin Phillips, Lyla Dyer and Kendall Dyer, a great-granddaughter due in April. Bro. John Pippin will officiate. Family will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 223 Rosa L.
