Funeral Services for Mrs. Wilma Jean Riedlinger, 80 of Algood, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 23 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Fox officiating. Interment will follow at the Netherland Cemetery in Overton County. The family will receive friends Monday from 3 - 6 p.m. and again Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Riedlinger passed away Friday evening, February 19, 2016 at her home in Algood. She was born March 4, 1935 in Clay County, TN to the late Vaden and Edna Kirby Daniels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by and infant son, Estal Ricky Nelson; grandson, Travis Hopper; three brothers, Paul Daniels, J.C. Daniels, and Alfred Daniels; four sisters, Lena Sells, Geraldine Davis, Martha Walker, and Estella Taylor. Mrs. Riedlinger attended Sycamore Church of Christ. She was a retired nursing assistant and worked as the crossing guard at Capshaw Elementary School for 11 years until her health declined. She loved quilting, gardening and canning the vegetables she grew in her garden. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Dennis Riedlinger (whom she married June 29, 1986 in Indianapolis, IN); and her daughter, Teresa Nelson of Algood. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
