Tony Allen

A Celebration of Life service for Tony Lynn Allen, age 59 of Cookeville, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday April 10th at Life Church, The Edge Facility, 2223 North Washington Avenue, Cookeville, TN. The family received friends from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Pastor Alex Lisic officiated. Interment will be held at a later date. Tony passed away Sunday March 21, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born February 17, 1962 to the late Pastor Joe Sephus and Hassie Frances Allen and grew up in Sparta. Tony is survived by sisters, Frances (Joann) Allen and Tella (Kay) Bryson, both of Cookeville; brother-in-law, Charles Williams of Cookeville; nieces and nephews, Donnie Davis of Knoxville, Tabitha Bryson of Nashville, Kim and Shane Buck of Cookeville, Anthony and Sonja Hardin of Cookeville, Annabelle Allen of Sparta, and Krystal Allen of Sparta. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Carolyn Williams; and brothers, Denny Ray & Wilfred Lee Allen. Tony took his last breath Sunday March 21, 2021 and “his first breath with Jesus”. He fought a long hard 6-month battle of Stage 1V Cancer. His daily words, until his last, were “God’s Got This”. Tony's sister, Frances (Joann) Allen says, "God’s plan is always our best plan regardless of our circumstances. God chose to let Tony enter those pearly gates to a place called Heaven. More than ever, I want to make sure I’m ready to meet Jesus. Now, there’s a certain Angel I’m anxious to see after I meet Jesus. His name is Tony! I pray everyone will be right there with me to enter in those beautiful gates to a place called Heaven!!!"
