Thomas Kovacik

Mr. Thomas Frederick Kovacik, Jr., 49 of Cookeville, TN and formerly of Grass Lake, MI, died Friday May 27, 2011 in Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Mr. Kovacik was born April 12, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan to Thomas Frederick and Lucille Theresa Gurley Kovacik, Sr. of Eaton Rapids, MI and former long-time residents of Sparta, TN. He was a homebuilder. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Bergman Kovacik. Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Lisa Harris Kovacik (whom he married December 22, 2009 in Dexter, MI); step-son, Nathan and his wife Amber Parker of Grass Lake, MI; three step-daughters, Monica Parker (& her fiancé, Maurice Harris) of Ft. Myers, FL, Heather and her husband, Mark Anderson of Grass Lake, MI, and Jackie Waterbury of Ann Arbor, MI; 12-step-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James & Norma Kovacik of Whitmore Lake, MI, and Joseph Edward & Denise Kovacik of Fort Mill, SC; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Karen Marie Rinas of Alberta, Canada, Kathleen Anne & Jeffrey Etue of Eaton Rapids, MI as well as many nieces and nephews; and life long family friends, Jacob Lovely and Tommi Bell.
