Celebration of Life services for Mr. Seth Alden Stanger, age 44 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, June 25th at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Friends are invited to come by the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time to sign the guest book and pay their respects. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. Interment will be at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Seth died suddenly, Saturday June 20, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 14, 1976 in Cookeville, TN to Dr. Gretta Guyton Stanger. He was a graduate of Cookeville High School. He attended Vanderbilt University and was a member of the Spirit of Gold marching band before transferring to obtain a bachelor's degree in political science from Tennessee Tech University. He served an internship, as well as being employed in the office of Governor Phil Bredesen. Seth began volunteering with WCTE-TV's Great TV Auction in 1987 and began employment with the station in 2012, ultimately working as the station's Live Production Director and Production Associate. "I love “game day!” Whether it is WCTE’s Great TV Auction, TTU sports, a town hall, or the Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree, “game day” is when all of our preparation is tested. I enjoy working with the skilled employees and volunteers of WCTE to bring great, live television to the Upper Cumberland.” - Seth Stanger He enjoyed spending time with his wife, attending theatre events, art museums and sporting events, especially of his favorite team, the Vanderbilt Commodores. Most recently, he enjoyed attending sporting and school events of his beloved nieces and nephew, Grace, Kara and Cian. In addition to his mother, Seth is survived by his beloved wife, Liv Marie Sinclair Stanger; Aunt and Uncle Jean and Dun Kuftinec; Cousins, Sasha (Mark Schwartzberg) Kuftinec, Steve (Lisa) Kuftinec and Sonja (Andy Arsham) Kuftinec; several second cousins and by his adoring nieces and nephew, Grace Kay, Kara Isabella, and Cian Alexander Moore. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
