Rocky William Braxton Douglas Hunter

Funeral Services for Rocky William Braxton Douglas Hunter, age 31 of Cookeville, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2011 in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home, with burial following in the Dry Valley Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, December 17, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Rocky died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Bolivar General Hospital in Bolivar TN. He was born March 7, 1980 in Cookeville to Mickey Fred Hunter and SanDee Dailey Farley. Rocky worked with his dad in construction, and attended Stevens Street Baptist Church. Mr. Hunter is survived by his wife Crystal Allen Hunter; two children, Dameion and Destiny Hunter; his parents; Mickey Hunter and SanDee Farley; one sister Kacee Farley; and his grandmother, Gladys Dailey. Rocky is also survived by aunts and uncles Terry (Billy) Jolly of Sparta, Norma (Bud) Stukey of Ft. Myers FL, Wanda Guess of Myrtle Beach SC, Gary Hunter of West VA, and Bill Hunter of Ft. Myers FL, as well as nieces Madison , Raelee, and Bridget Farley and “Aunt” Paula and “Uncle” Thane Myers of Murfreesboro. Rocky was preceded in death by his grandparents Fred Hunter, Wanda Wood and Tip Dailey, one aunt Linda Coker and a niece, Macky Rae Farley and step-dad Seth farley. Pallbearers will be Charlie Coker, Gary Short, Tim Hickman, Tony Thomas, Christ Short, Caleb Lawton, Darrell Stevens, and Billy Jolly. Brother Benton Flatt and Brother Bill Haney will be conducting the service.
