Robert Arthur Horan

Mr. Robert Arthur Horan, age 75, of Cookeville. Mr. Horan entered into rest Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born February 14, 1940 in New York, NY to the late John Joseph Horan and Mary Catherine Long Horan. Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1965 through 1993 and retired as Lieutenant Colonel. Mr. Horan was of the Catholic faith. He is survived by his son; Robert (wife Tonya) Horan of Tampa, Florida, daughter; Kristie Jordan of Plant City, Florida, six sisters; Jean Horan of Palm Desert, California, Margaret Costello of Fuquay-Varina North Carolina, Rita (husband John) Schoen of Riverside, Connecticut, Carol (husband Harold) of Plainview, New York, Marilyn Schneider of Palm Coast, Florida and Barbara (husband Frank) Kuhn of Palm Coast, Florida. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica Beth (husband Sean) Baumann of Tampa Florida and Robert James Horan II of Oceana, Virginia as well as two great grandchildren; Blake and Vivienne Baumann. In addition to his parents, Mr. Horan was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Horan. Then family has chosen cremation and a memorial service is planned for Friday, March 6, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa, Florida with burial at 2:00 p.m. in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
