Robert Anderson

Mr. Robert J. Anderson, age 72 of Cookeville, brother of Hunter Funeral Home's Ricky Anderson, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at his home. Robert was born December 16, 1947 in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late Garland Virgil and Bonnie Estell Underwood Anderson. Robert was a devoted employee of Woodbine Funeral Home in Nashville for 30 years following a time working at Eagle Furniture alongside his brothers Ricky and Gary. He was a collector of antiques and funeral profession antiques. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie David Anderson and sister-in-law Linda Anderson. Survivors include his siblings: Donald & Lucille Anderson, Jean Anderson of Cookeville, Gary & Kathy Anderson of Lebanon, Kathy Anderson Lamb of Cookeville, Ricky & Sharon Anderson of Cookeville A host of nieces and nephews In consideration of the health and safety of family and friends at the time of Robert's death, a private family graveside service was conducted at Crest Lawn Cemetery on April 5, 2020. With covid restrictions lifted, a memorial service was conducted 2:00pm Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home in Cookeville. The family received friends after 12:00pm Sunday at the funeral home. Wendell Byrd officiated.
