Funeral Services for Richard "TOAD"� David Haugk, 51 of Baxter will be Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 1 P.M. from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home with burial in Smellage Memory Gardens in the Boma Community. Mr. Haugk died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 19, 1960 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Joanette Hemminger Haugk of Silver Point and the late Jack Haugk. He was a 1978 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter where he excelled in building and trades. He was a carpenter with Simmons Construction Co. of Baxter. In addition to his father he was preceeded in death by a brother Donny Haugk and grandparents: Ralph & Marie Hemminger and Norman & Helen Haugk. Survivors in addition to his mother include wife of 32 years (Married Sept. 28, 1979 in Silver Point, Tn.) Linda Burgess Haugk of Baxter, son & daughter-in-law Matthew & Mary Haugk of Cookeville, 3 sisters & brothers-in-law Karen & Jim Menke of Greenwood, Ind., Nancy & Bobby Simmons of Silver Point, Joyce & Tim Overholt of Chesapeake, Va 3 brothers & sisters-in-law Jim & Ellen Haugk of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Bob & Janice Haugk of Silver Point, Jack & Diana Haugk of Detroit, Mi., mother & father-in-law Ruby & Bud Maynard of Silver Point, sisters & brothers-in-law Brenda Burgess, Tammy & Bill Osbourne, Phyllis & James Brewington, a host of nieces & nephews, special friends Mike Palmer and Sheila Burgess. Active Pallbearers will be Jim, Jack, Bob & Matt Haugk, Ryan Kelley, Cody Maynard, Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug, Donnie & Tony Burgess, Carson Bryant, Bobby & Danny Simmons. Bro. Tim Sharp & Bro. Archie Whitefield will officiate. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. and after 10 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
