Rebekah Holman

Funeral services for Mrs. Rebekah Clarice Holman of Algood will be held Monday, June 20 at 1 p.m. in the Algood Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with interment to follow in Netherland Cemetery in the Rickman Community of Overton County. Rev. Richard Bond and Rev. Quinton Lee will officiate. Mrs. Holman died Thursday evening, June 16, 2011 at her home. She was born August 30, 1923 in Overton County, TN to the late Dave and Sallie Crabtree Garrett. Mrs. Holman was a member of Algood Presbyterian Church and attended Douglas Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors, mowing yards and children. She treasured her family, and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Leigh Holman, daughter, Mary Frances Holman, son, Haskell Bealue Holman and brother, Robert Garrett. Mrs. Holman is survived by a son, Ronald Holman of Cookeville; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Jimmie and David Green, Becki and Leon Raines, Trelbie Watkins all of Cookeville and Sylvia Cunningham of Algood; sister, Kathy Smith of Rickman; eleven grandchildren, Jeff (Kristina) Pinkston, Mary Pinkston, Julie Bohannon, Brent (Amy) Holman, Amy Cogdell, Annette (Tommy) Waller, Jessie Beth Holman, Clarice Allen, Cody Watkins, Anthony Griffith, Raj Roberson, sixteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Mrs. Holman"�s family will receive friends Sunday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
