Reba Jean Allison Parker

Reba Jean (Allison) Parker, age 74 passed away peacefully at her home in Clearwater, Florida on Thursday evening May 19, 2011. Jean was born June 29, 1936 in Cookeville, Tennessee; the youngest of 15 children of the late Charlie and Bertha Lee Allison. She graduated from Baxter Seminary in 1954 and married the love of her life and soul mate Donald Parker on March 3, 1962. They lived in Ferndale, Michigan then moved to Clearwater, FL in 1968. Jean worked for the city of Clearwater's finance department for 13 years until having a debilitating stroke in 1993. She leaves her loving husband of 49 years Don who was her constant caregiver and companion. Daughter Donna Jean Boerner (Greg) of Redington Beach, FL, stepsons Gary L. Parker of Kansas City, MO and Keith B. Parker (Karen) of Boynton Beach, FL; brother Herbert Allison (Elma), Cookeville, TN; sisters Blanche Lollar, Cookeville, TN and Flossie Lewis, Southgate, MI; 5 grandchildren Allison, Olivia and Ethan Boerner, Craig and Stephanie Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Dyer Funeral Home on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home in with internment following at Pleasant View Cemetery. Dr. Randy Adkinson will be conducting the service.
