BAXTER-Funeral services for Reba Mae Gentry, 93 of Baxter, will be 3 PM Friday, June 24 at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Samuel Maxwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 noon until service time. Bro. Dan Clouse and Austin Billingsley will officiate. Mrs. Gentry died Tuesday morning, June 21, 2022 at Bailey Manor in Cookeville. She was born February 17, 1929 in Baxter to the late William Arthur and Nora Avo Sliger Austin. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and playing wiffle ball in the front yard with her nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Eugene Gentry, son Ronald Lynn Gentry, sister Flora Juanita Young, brothers Johnny, Clay, Bill and William Arthur Austin, Jr. Survivors include niece Rema Faye Billingsley, Nephew Tommy Young both of Baxter, great nephews: Lee Billingsley, Shawn (Teresa) Billingsley, great-great-nephews Austin (Kailee) Billingsley, Kyle Billingsley and Brett Billingsley, great great great niece Raelynn Rose Billingsley. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
