Priscilla Johnson

A private memorial service for Mrs. Priscilla Seale Johnson, 81, of Cookeville will be held at a later date. Dr. Charles McCaskey will officiate. Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at her home. She was born April 20, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Harold Prescott Seale Sr. and Helen Richmond Millard Seale. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Lyndon Institute in 1948 and from the University of Vermont in 1952. She worked for two years as a Dental Hygienist before leaving the workforce to raise her family at home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death a grandson, Kyle Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dick Johnson of Cookeville, (whom she married October 9, 1954 in Bellrose, NY; three sons, Richard A. Johnson Jr. and wife Nancy of Marshalltown, IA, Rob Johnson and wife Teri of West Glover VT, and Dr. Peter Johnson and wife Michelle of East Kingston, NH; brother, Harold P. Seale and wife Sarah of Salem, SC; four grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, April Piper and husband David, Riley Johnson, and Liam Johnson; and one great-grandchild, Savannah Piper.
