Philip Tracy Hawkins

Mr. Philip Tracy Hawkins passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Hawkins was born February 2, 1942 in Putnam County TN to the late Herman Hawkins and Gladys Langford Hawkins. He is survived by one sister; Reba Pigg of Cookeville, and a brother; Donald Ray Hawkins of Palm Springs, CA as well as several nieces and nephews. Philip loved music and was an accomplished musician, as well as a collector of guitars. He played the guitar in several bands throughout the years and had his own band at one time. Mr. Hawkins was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam era. After retiring from the Chrysler Corporation some 15 years ago, Philip moved back to Cookeville. Mr. Hawkins is preceded in death by his parents Herman Hawkins and Gladys Langford Hawkins; two brothers; Parker Hawkins and Gary Hawkins. Mr Hawkins has chosen cremation with a scattering of his cremains at a later time per his request.
