Norma Jean Hawkins

Funeral services for Mrs. Norma Jean Hawkins, age 83 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday May 14 at 3 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Gaw officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Hawkins family will receive friends Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Hawkins died Thursday morning May 12, 2016 in NHC of Cookeville. She was born May 18, 1932 in Cookeville to the late Aron and Pauline Hix Langford. She has been a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church for over 35 years and was a retired administrative assistant with Tennessee Tech University. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles "Cloudy" Langford and James Langford. Survivors include her two nephews, Tim and Jimmy Langford of Cookeville; and two nieces, Jama Lutcavich and Kara Bryant both of Madison, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
