Mildred Lane

Graveside services and interment for Mildred Lee Lane, 88 of Cookeville, were held Wednesday, June 23 at 3 PM at Brotherton Cemetery. Family members officiated. Visitation with the family was at the cemetery following services. Mildred passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. She was born April 30, 1933 in Putnam County to the late John Hillary Price and Ova Edna Messenger Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmus Lane on May 12, 2016, daughter-in-law Marcy Lane, son-in-law Denny Moore, her in-laws Rev. Oliver and Mae Lane, sisters Magdaline Cantrell, Era Mae Marsh, Elise Marsh, Hattie Mae Julian, brothers Clay, John and Thomas Price, 4 Kimbrough great-great grandbabies.and a niece Nokie Julian. She was employed 28 years at Acme Boot Co. Survivors include sons: Bobby H. (Carolyn) Lane, Tim Lane (Rhonda Stringer), daughters: Sandi (Jim) Jernigan, Phyllis Moore, grandchildren: Leslie (Kevin) Kimbrough, Jess (Rosey) Lane, Stacy (Michelle) Jernigan, Jason (Kirstie) Jernigan, Johnny Bohannon, Rhonda (David) Sevier, great-grandchildren: Briana, Trey, Serenity, Koda, Jake, Iris and Zeke Kimbrough, Justin and Emily Lane, Clay (Macy) Jernigan, Lance, Cynthia, Ashley Jernigan, Gage Bohannon and Kelsey Roberts, Amber (Thomas) Shelton, Sierra Sevier, great-great-grandchildren: Dani Shea Jernigan, Emma Grace and Waylon Shelton, Asher and Jovi, niece Mitzi (Edwin) Freeman, nephews Donnie Julian, Roger (Debbie) Julian, Jeffrey (Dianna) Marsh, Mike (Rosey) Marsh, Danny (Valerie) Marsh. Active Pallbearers were Justin and Jess Lane, Stacy, Clay and Jason Jernigan, Trey Kimbrough. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions were asked to be made to Mustard Seed Ranch, 4955 Kuykendall Rd, Cookeville, TN 38501 Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements (931)526-7158.
