Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Louise Whiteaker, age 85 of Cookeville, will be held Sunday March 29 at 4 p.m. at Willow Avenue Church of Christ with Jeremiah Tatum and Carl Sims officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Whiteaker's family will receive friends Saturday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home and Sunday from 2 p.m. until service time at the church. Mrs. Whiteaker died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon March 26, 2015 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 4, 1929 in Coffeyville, Kansas to the late Frederick and Nancy Ola Sliger Krebs. Mrs. Whiteaker was a homemaker and a member of Willow Avenue Church of Christ for over 56 years. She loved genealogy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman "Frosty" Whiteaker (who died October 15, 2009) and her son-in-law, Stan Kinslow. Survivors include her two daughters and son-in-law, Janet Faye Whiteaker and Norma Jean "Jeanie" and Danny Holder all of Cookeville; three grandchildren, Kara (Travis) Webster, Katey (Chad) Mackie, and John Kinslow; and great granddaughter, Karleigh Webster. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to Willow Meals at Willow Avenue Church of Christ 1150 S. Willow Avenue Cookeville, TN 38506.
