Mary Bullington

A Celebration Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Mary Kathleen Bullington, age 86, of Jackson County, will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday December 14 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Fr. Chad Puthoff officiating. Interment will follow at the Bullington Family Cemetery in Jackson County. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 - 11 a.m. at the church. Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Mrs. Bullington passed away Sunday evening December 10, 2017 at her home. She was born October 12, 1931 in Detroit, MI to the late Edward and Ethel Olen Wilson O'Neal. Mrs. Bullington was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, where she served in various capacities including: Lay Salvatorians, Daughters of Isabella and Legion of Mary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Joseph Bullington, three sons, Garry John Bullington, Daryl Paul Bullington and Ricky Harold Bullington. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Eureva Bullington of Nashville, TN; two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Mark Grantham of Tullahoma, TN, Kathy and Frank Vogt of Warren, MI; eleven grandchildren, Dennis (Vanessa) Vogt, David (Michele) Bullington, Glen (Kathryn) Bullington, Garry (Jacqui) Bullington, Jennie (Mikel) Pilkey, John Bullington, Daryl (Carla) Bullington, Glen Bullington, Elizabeth Grantham, Thomas Grantham, and Shaun Bullington; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions St Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in lieu of flowers.
