Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Austin Bilbrey, 94 of Algood will be held Tuesday September 13 at 11 a.m. in the Algood Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. J. C. Allen Officiating. Interment will follow in the Algood City Cemetery. Mr. Bilbrey died Friday evening September 9, 2011 at his home. He was born November 14, 1916 in the Brotherton Community of Putnam County, Tennessee to the late Jimmy Lee and Carrie Grace Breeden Bilbrey. He was a member of Algood United Methodist Church; loved to farm; and he and June Gentry owned and operated the Singer Sewing Machine Store in Cookeville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Hallie Clarice Bilbrey, and Maudean Verble Bilbrey; sister, Marie Gore; and step-son, Fred Russell Verble . Survivors include his wife, Jemima Maynard Bilbrey; son and daughter-in-law, Gene & Marcella Bilbrey of Algood, two daughters and sons-in-law, Doris & Jackie Sevier of Allons, TN, and Carolyn & James Phy of Algood; grandchildren, Vickie Bilbrey, Sherrie Gann, Gene (Lisa) Austin, Jr, Melahn (Jim) Finley, Jack (Jessica) Sevier, and David (Rhonda) Sevier; great grandchildren, Amanda Gann, Zac Finley, Rebecca Finley, Amber Sevier, Sierra Sevier, Kayla Bilbrey, Dylan Bilbrey, Hallie Sevier, Thomas Sevier, Ashton Papagna, and Bo Papagna; step-children Dan (Edith) Verble of Cookeville, Susan Bourne, of Toronto, Canada, and Ross Maynard of Crossville; step-daughter-in-law, Jimmie Gail Verble of Cookeville; Step-grandchildren, Tyler Verble, Wade Verble, Angie Morrison, Caitlin Bourne, and Conner Bourne; and a host of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to his special caregivers, Nina Jordan, Michelle Rhoten, Cindy Rice, Karen Thomas, Leandra Johnson, and Jane Tidwell. Mr. Bilbrey"�s family will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the Algood Chapel.
