Marion Bohannon

Memorial services for Marion Lela Bohannon, age 101 of Cookeville, were held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday August 11 at Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Gary Lee officiated. An Order of Eastern Star Ceremony was at 6:15 p.m. Visitation for family and friends was Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. until time of services. Mrs. Bohannon was interred at Brown's Mill Cemetery on a previous date. She passed away Saturday July 17, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 19, 1919 in Gaylord, Michigan to the late Nicholas and Clara Lindenuth Koski. Mrs. Bohannon was a member of Salem Church in Cookeville. She served on various community boards including: Cookeville Rescue Mission, Salvation Army, and Putnam County Clearing House. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 46, Putnam County Kiwanis, and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 152. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Heino Augustson; second husband, Henry Clay Bohannon; two sons, Larry and Ronald Augustson; sister-in-law, Marian Koski; sister, Isabel Tandlund; and two brothers, Robert and George Koski. She is survived by grandson, Erik (Shannon) Augustson; great grandchildren, Aaron and Seth Augustson; step-daughter, Martha Schnabel; close friends, Charlie and Katelynn Toler, Judy Mabrey, Joe and Penny Scardina.
