BAXTER-Celebration of Life services for Lonnie Milton Dunn, 67 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, January 29 at 1 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Tim Sharp will officiate with the Eulogy by Josh Tollison. Lonnie's wishes of cremation are being honored. A private burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery at a later date. Mr. Dunn died Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born January 5, 1955 in Cookeville to the late James Isaac "Ike" and Anna Juanita Hutchings Dunn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Donna Johnson and brother James E. Dunn. He attended Upperman High School in Baxter and Boma First Church of God. Lonnie worked as a dynamite detonator with J. Paul Smith Construction Company of Crossville. Lonnie was the lead vocal singer in the Olds88 band for many years. He loved fishing and was an accomplished artist. Survivors include sons and a daughter-in-law Cody and Lauren Dunn of Cookeville and Zackery Dunn of Baxter, mother of his children Lori Dalton Dunn of Baxter, sisters Patricia Fields of Baxter, Annette Altes of Knoxville, grandson Aiden Mitchell Dunn, special friend Judy Denney, host of nieces and nephews.
