Linnie King

Linnie Mae King, age 68 of Sparta, passed away Monday April 19 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. Linnie was born July 14, 1952 in Rumford, ME to the late Allen and Marietta Smith Maxwell. She worked as a CNA at various nursing homes in Maine and later retired from Signature Health Care in Algood after 23 years of service. Linnie enjoyed retirement, spending time with family and caring for her pets. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Eddie King Jr.; daughter, Stephanie King of Auburn, ME; son, Sean King of Sparta; brother, Richard Maxwell of Algood; and grandchildren, Kayla Roberts and McKenzie Lorachelle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Maxwell. Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
