Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Hennie Vernon, 85 of Monterey will be held Friday 15 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Welch Memorial Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Floyd will officiate. Mrs. Vernon died Tuesday afternoon July 12, 2011 at the home of her daughter. She was born September 11, 1925 in Monterey, Tennessee to the late Albert Sampson and Dora Lee Vaughn Blaylock. She was retired from Ely & Walker Manufacturing Company and attended the Monterey Church of the Nazarene. Her family states she was "One of a Kind"� loving Mother, Grandmother, and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Jhue Vernon; son, Albert "Punky"� Vernon; daughter, Barbara Sue Farley; grandson, Johnny Ray Farley; sister, Rendy Whittaker; and four brothers, Andy Blaylock, Jeff Blaylock, Charlie Joe Blaylock, and Sid Blaylock. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy & Phyllis Vernon; daughter & son-in-law, Dessie & Harvey Whittaker all of Monterey; nine grandchildren, Joey (Janell) Vernon, James (Dawn) Vernon, Michael (Dawn) Vernon, Amanda Vernon, Curt Whittaker, Becky Whittaker, Linda Sue Farley, April Farley, and Steven Farley; seventeen great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; and a daughter-in-law, Emma Lou Veron of Monterey. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Vernon"�s family will receive friends Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
