Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Mai ‘Lillie Mai' Beasley, 76 of Silver Point, will be held at 11 am Saturday November 9th at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Earl Dirkson and Rev. Tony Clemons will officiate. Interment will follow in the West End Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Beasley died Sunday November 3, 2013 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born June 8, 1937 in Putnam County to the late James Bransford and Cora Isabelle Apple Stewart. Mrs. Beasley was a homemaker and a member of the West End Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Beasley, Sr.; son, Charles William Beasley Jr.; infant daughter, Norma Jean Beasley; brother, Thomas Stewart, and by a sister, Mary Jane Woodmore. She is survived by two daughters, Marsha Beasley of Silver Point and Wanda Haynie of Riddleton, TN; three grandchildren, Jimmy and wife Milindy Haynie of Goodlettsville, Tiffany Haynie of Riddleton and Felicity Beasley of Silver Point, two great-grandchildren, Mikaylee Lafever and Emerysen Buckhalter; four sisters, Irene and husband Rev. Earl Dirkson of Cookeville, O'Geal Carter of Carthage,TN, Etta and husband Doyle King of Chicago, Il, and Amy Brown of Detroit, MI; two sister-in-laws, Hallie G. Tibbs of Memphis, TN and Thelma Beasley of Smyrna, TN; and by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins Family and friends will serve as pallbearers and flower girls.
