Lex Brown

Funeral services for Mr. Lex Donald Brown, 81 of Memphis and formerly of Cookeville, will be held Thursday May 9 at 1 pm in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Chaplin Dr Jim McAfee officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Brown died Friday April 26, 2013 in Baptist Hospital in Memphis. He was born September 7, 1931 in Gainesboro, TN to the late Walter Clarion and Lucy Darthena Sircy Brown. He was a retired U. S. Air Force Master Sergeant and of the Church of Christ Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Brown; and a sister, Mary Helen Cook. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Lex and Cheri Brown of Arlington, WA; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly "Kim"� Jane and Tim Raymond of Renton, WA; four grandchildren, Julie, Jacob, Tyler, and Danielle; great grandson, Maleki; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Sharon Brown, JR; and sister and brother-in-law, Linda Lou and Bill Frank Dennis all of Aldie, VA. Pallbearers will be the Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Brown"�s family will receive friends Thursday from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.
