Funeral services for Kenneth Delmont Roberts, 93, of Silver Point will be held Wednesday, September 19 at 1 p.m. in the Baxter Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Phil Loftis and Jonathan Loftis officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Palmer Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Roberts died Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 22, 1919 in DeKalb County, TN to the late John W. and Alta Foster Roberts. Mr. Roberts was a member of Herren"�s Chapel Church of Christ. He was an U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a retired truck driver with Redimix in Michigan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Jewell Thomas, Mollie Helm and Ila Palmer and two brothers, Odell Roberts and Thurman Roberts. Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife of 72 years, Louise Palmer Roberts (married December 3, 1939 in Cherry Hill, TN); son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth C. and Kelley Roberts, Sr. of Cookeville; four grandchildren, Kenneth C. Roberts, Jr. of Fairhaven, MI, Lorra Roberts of Auburn Hills, MI, Jennifer Tommaso and Jacob Roberts both of Cookeville; five great grandchildren, Candi Greenwood, Andrea Tommaso, Aiden Tommaso, Katie Tommaso and Kal-el Tommaso; three great-great grandchildren, Paul, David and MeKinze; one sister, Ruth Skidmore of St. Claire, MI. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
