Kaye Atkinson

Funeral services for Wilma Kaye Atkinson, age 65 of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m Friday August 28 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Stephen Moore will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. until service time. Kaye passed away Tuesday August 25, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born July 5, 1955 in Fentress County, TN to the late Prime and Fonza Hindes Turner. Kaye was retired from Oreck in Cookeville. She loved to quilt and can vegetables. She is survived by special daughter, Mindy Bumbalough and her children, La'Tyra Bumbalough and La'Tavius Gist, all of Cookeville; two sisters, Ella Joyce (Ward) Hodges of Mt. Airy, NC, Cella Joyce Zornow of Elkhorn, NE; two brothers, Keith Wallace Turner of Jamestown, TN, twin bother, Willis Ray (Judy) Turner of Richmond, KY; and her special cat, Lexi.
