Judy Kirby

A memorial service for Mrs. Judy Faye Kirby, age 75 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 4:00 pm in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Dr. Jason Groe will officiate.

Her family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00pm until service time at the funeral home.

Ms. Kirby died suddenly Tuesday April 11, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

She was born May 18, 1947 in Putnam County, TN to the late Modell and Eunetta Clouse Buckner.

Judy was a member of and faithfully attended Poplar Grove Baptist Church. Her Sunday School Class was a source of enjoyment and encouragement to her.

Judy was employed at Wimberly Lawson Wright Daves & Jones, PLLC Cookeville. She loved her job and her coworkers at the firm. Judy had many friends and enjoyed traveling and doing life with them. Stylish, classy and fun, she enjoyed shopping, especially at Chicos, and antiquing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sisters, Howard (Margaret) Buckner, Robbie (Glen) Jones, Barbara (Bill) Milton and an infant sister, Margie Helen Buckner.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Gary (Sharon) Buckner, Theresa (Chuck) Karam, Larry (Carol) Buckner, Shelia Doebler, Sharon (Kelly) Byers, and Steve (Penny) Milton; numerous great nephews and nieces; and by her friend and companion, her cat Molly.
