Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Lee Baker, 69 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday July 25 at 11 am in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral home with Bro. Mike Adams and Bro. Cordell Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 pm until 8 pm and Thursday from 10 am until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Baker died Monday afternoon July 22, 2013 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation-Masters in Algood. She was born February 18, 1944 in Cookeville, TN to the late Orville Lee and Hazel Eller Whitley. Mrs. Baker was a homemaker. She is fondly remembered as a great wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bob Baker (whom she married February 6, 1967 in Carthage, TN); two sons, Jon Baker and Christina Turner of Cookeville, and Rob Baker and wife Carla of Murfreesboro; six grandchildren, Ashlee, Paige, Tristan, Emma, Shawna, and Dusty Baker. Pallbearers will be Donnie Tays, Donnie Vinson, Joe Johnson, Johnny Tays, Shane Sowell, Doug Ashburn, Trevor Barrett, and Scott Stockton.
