Funeral Services for Mrs. Johnie T. Garrison, 94 of Baxter will be Thursday, June 25 at 3 p.m. from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston Horner Funeral Home with interment in Smellage Memory Gardens in the Boma Community of Putnam County. Mrs. Garrison died Monday night, June 22, 2015 at the Webb Home Retirement Center in Smithville, TN. She was born January 14, 1921 in Putnam County to the late Asro and Nettie Leftwich Wallace. She was a retired industrial diamond setter with Wheel Truing Tool Co. in Detroit with twenty-eight years of service. She attended Boma First Church of God until her health failed her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by first husband Howard Ray and second husband L.B. Garrison, sister Dorothy Wallace and brother Earl Wallace. Survivors include nieces Gerline Leftwich of Baxter, Linda Burgess and Janet Maxwell both of Silver Point, Karen Klein of Cookeville, nephew Dennis Wallace of St. Petersburg, FL, two step-daughters Doris Gilbert of Smithville and Linda Willoughby of Kentucky, several great-nieces and great-nephews. Active Pallbearers will be Kevin Maynard, Brandon Maynard, Elijah Maynard, Stan Klein, Steve Burgess and Glen Smith. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 12 noon Thursday at the funeral home. Bro. Herb Leftwich will officiate.
