Funeral services for Mr. John Robert Hedrick, age 56, of Cookeville will be Friday, September 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Shipley Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from noon until time of the service at the funeral home. Mr. Hedrick entered into rest Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born July 5, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Granville Robert Hedrick and Judith Marie Tompkins Hedrick. John was a faithful member of the Wilhite Baptist Church and the owner of Hedrick’s Termite & Pest Control of Cookeville. In addition, he was a member of the Cookeville BNI, the American Taekwondo Association (holding a 4th degree black belt), and a member of the Tennessee Pest Control Association. John is survived by his wife, Vicki Renee Thomas Hedrick; three sons, Jason Robert (wife Natalie) Hedrick of Atlanta GA, Jonathan Lee Hedrick of Horn Lake MS, and Robert Casey Hedrick of Cookeville. He also leaves behind one sister, Carmen Valkyrie (husband Brian) of Lebanon TN, two brothers, Greg Hedrick (wife Carol) of Olive Branch MS, and Chris Hedrick of Covington TN; three grandchildren, Peyton, Tristen and Bentlee Hedrick as well as the half-brother to his sons Jason and Jonathan, James Brandon Cook. Also, John is survived by his loving mother-in-law, Rebecca June Thomas and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rick and Tammy Hamm. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Bro. Tim Miles will be conducting the services.
