Memorial services for Mrs. Joellen "Jobi" S. Eaves will be held Tuesday, October 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church (9177 Roberts Rd. Silver Point, TN 38582). Pastor Matt Figura will officiate. Visitation will follow the service at the church. Private interment will be held at Phillips Cemetery in Algood. Joellen "Jobi" Eaves passed into the loving arms of her Savior on October 19, 2018. She was 76. She was born September 3, 1942 in Denver, Colorado to the late Joel G and Dorothy Anderson. She worked as an executive secretary for CEOs and executives of major businesses for most of her life. She met the love of her life and was married to Jim Eaves of Chattanooga TN in 1964. Upon his retirement in 1990, they relocated from Diamond Bar, California to Cookeville to be closer to his children. She has been an active member of Faith Presbyterian Church and especially enjoyed mission work through her church. She always had a deep love for her animals and any stray animal she may find, she loved her home in the woods and most of all her church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim McNair Eaves. Her family includes two daughters, Nancy Gail (Phil) Pierce of Cookeville and Lisa Ann Eaves of Chattanooga; son, Richard "Mike" Michael Eaves of Chattanooga; sister, Sally (Jim) Dickman of Sidney, Nebraska; brother, Dr. Charles (Elaine) Anderson of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren, Phillip Pierce, Rebecca (Adam) Jones, Jimmy Pierce, Michele Griswold, Atira (Austin) Spurr, Chase (Olivia) Eaves, Emily Foster and Sheena (Brandon) Lofty; six great grandchildren; and two nephews, Jim (Angie) Dickman and Michael (Rebekah) Dickman. Her family requests memorial contributions be made to Faith Presbyterian Church, 9177 Roberts Rd., Silver Point, TN 38582.
