Graveside service and interment for JoAnn McGuire, 80 of Red Boiling Springs, TN formerly of Cookeville, will be Thursday, May 21 at 11:30 AM at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in the Boma Community of Putnam County, TN. with Rev. Wendell Hyde officiating. Friends are invited to come by the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home to sign the guest book and pay their respects on Thursday May 21 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Mrs. McGuire died Saturday, May 16, 2020 at her home in Red Boiling Springs, TN. She was born January 31, 1940 in Blue Ridge, Georgia to the late Clinton and Anna Mae Self Chastain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed McGuire, a son James Edward “Eddie” Moore, sister Shirley Ruth Chastain, brothers: James and Danny Chastain. She attended Knoxville West High School. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed embroidery, sewing, country music and dancing. She was a loving and caring woman. She enjoyed her time with her pet dog, Rowdy. Survivors include daughters Theresa (Danny) Tincher, Tina (Tim) Stafford all of Red Boiling Springs, son Tim (Teddi) Moore of Scottsville, KY, grandchildren: Jeremiah Johnson, Brandon and Logan Moore, great granddaughter Layla Mae Johnson. Active Pallbearers will be Todd Willoughby, Jeremiah Johnson, Logan and Brandon Moore, Tim Stafford and Frankie Linde.
