Jim Davis

James "Jim" Hugh Davis, age 74 of Fraser, Michigan and formerly of Cookeville passed away January 11, 2018. He was born in Detroit on March 17, 1943; the son of Albert Robinson and Lassie Betsy (nee Mayberry) Davis. Jim is an honorable U.S. Army Veteran and Local 1102 Millwright retiree. He enjoyed model trains and loved hunting up north with family. In his early years, Jim used to compete in cowboy action shooting events as well as enjoyed photography. He and his nephew used to wait until dark to develop his own films. Church was very important to Jim and most of all, he adored his family. He was like a second father to his nephews and he valued the time spent with them and his great-nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Alberta Urban and Ronald (Diane) Davis. Loving uncle of William Urban, Steve Urban, Richard (Karen) Davis and Karen (Doug) Chimenti. Treasured great-uncle of Jack & Allie and Colton & Brody. Cherished cousin of many. Funeral services will be Thursday January 18 at 1 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cookeville City Cemetery.
