Jim Bevins

Mr. James "Jim" Arnold Bevins, age 66 of Cookeville, passed away suddenly Friday morning, October 21, 2016 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bevins family will receive friends Monday, October 24 from 3 - 6 pm at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Cremation will follow after visitation at a later date. Jim was born August 13, 1950 in Pike County, Ky to the late Betty Lou Bevins. He retired from Ford Motor Co in Dearborn, MI in 2007 with over 40 years of service. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Bevins and Leslie Mullins. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sonya Gibson Bevins, whom he married October 5, 1996 in Pikeville, KY; two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Angie Bevins, Adam and Kayleigh Blackburn, all of Taylor, MI; two daughters and son-in-law, Sonya Carey of FL, Katherine and Justin Scialpi of Cookeville; sister, Barbara Hatch of Gainesboro, TN; four grandchildren, Devan Mitchell, Kaitlyn Bevins, KJ Bevins, and Jacob Scialpi.
