Jane Wallace

Margaret Jane Wallace, age 84 of Cookeville, passed away Saturday evening June 20, 2020 at Bailey Manor of Cookeville. She was born September 8, 1935 in Russellville, KY to the late James and Hattie Pillow DeShazer. Jane was a member of Christ Community Church. She enjoyed quilting, searching for antiques, and caring for her dogs. She is survived by her daughters, Patty (Jim) Short of Cookeville; Janet (Ronald) Smith of Bunnell, FL; grandchildren, Justin (Jeri) Chaffin, Amy (Jimmy) Watkins, Patrick (Jennifer) Short, Jake (Kristin) Short; eight great-grandchildren; and special niece, Sandra (Rodney) Silvey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Duncan. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday June 24 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Ed Malone will officiate. Friends are invited to come by the funeral home Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service time to sign the guest book and pay their respects. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. Interment will be at Crest Lawn Cemetery.
