BAXTER-Memorial services for James "Jimmy" Kenneth Maynard, 69 of Baxter, will be Wednesday, February 16 at 1 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Virgil Paul and Brad Ledbetter will officiate. The family will receive friends after 11 AM Wednesday until service time at the funeral home. He was born October 7, 1952 in Cookeville to the late Will Everett and Elisabeth Hainzl Maynard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandchildren: Hunter Maynard, Dakota "Cody" Rodgers, Abigail Bullard, Tyler Ledbetter, great-granddaughter Kynley Rodgers, brother Daniel Maynard. He was a hard working brick mason and took pride in his work. After a long struggle with dementia, he is at peace. Jimmy was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing and loved Jimmy Buffett music. Survivors include wife Virginia Sutton Maynard of Baxter, daughters Beth Ann (Stan Lamberson) Maynard of Cookeville, Amanda (Chris) Wilson of Rickman, sons Jeremy Maynard of Cookeville, Brad (Liz) Ledbetter of Gordonsville and Chris Ledbetter of Cookeville, sisters Connie Hawkins, Joann Hawkins, Carolyn (Jimmy) Phy, Suzie (Patrick) Moss, brother Bobby (Sue) Maynard all of Cookeville, grandchildren: Cayden Mertz, Ella, Arianna and Aaliya Lamberson, Austin Sparks, Clay Maynard, McKenzie (Brett) Mitchell, Jessi, Kyle and Tia Ledbetter, Eric Lawrence; great-grandchildren: Blakely Jo Rodgers, Luka Sparks, Will Maynard and Liam, brother and sister-in-law John and Pam Sutton of Rickman, many nieces and nephews that he cherished and loved very much.
