Graveside services and interment for Mr. Jackie "Jack" Clyde Elrod SR, 71 of Cookeville, will be held Monday September 16, at 3 p.m. at the Granville Cemetery in Jackson County. Rev. Walt Phillips will officiate. Mr. Elrod's family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery. Mr. Elrod died Thursday afternoon September 12, 2013 at Standing Stone Care and Rehab Center in Monterey. He was born October 27, 1941 in Gainesboro, Tennessee to the late Casto Maddux and Willie Hazel Burgess Elrod. He was a retired truck driver, and of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Faye Elrod Bryant; two brothers, Dale Elrod and James Elrod; and his brother-in-law, Stanley Haney. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Sue Capps Elrod; Sons, Scott Capps and wife Libby of Cookeville, and Jackie "Sid" Elrod, JR and fiancée Amy Hicks of Algood; two grandchildren, Jordan Capps and Austin Elrod; sisters-in-law, Rose Haney of Cookeville, and Carolyn Elrod of Nashville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ralph and Linda Lauro of North Branford, CT; and a host of nieces and nephews.
