Hayes Junior Waller

Funeral services for Hayes Junior Waller, 74 of Silver Point, will be Sunday, August 30 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Maynard Cemetery in the Cherry Hill Community of DeKalb County with military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard. Harold Ralph Maynard will officiate. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distancing will be observed. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 8 PM and after 11 AM Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Waller died Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at his home. He was born March 4, 1946 in Silver Point to the late George Richard and Alpha Dew Jones Waller. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Brenda Jones Waller on December 27, 1983. He was a Army veteran. He was a retired machinist with Ross-Gear in Lebanon with 30 years of service. He enjoyed doing yard work and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include daughter Misty Waller of Silver Point, sister Doris Summers of Baxter, brother James Waller of Silver Point, Nieces and nephews: Patsy (Buck) Edmonds, Betsy Waller, Sandy Summers, Jason Summers and Katie Herd, uncle Sam Jones, special friend Jessie King, several cousins.
