Funeral services for Mr. Harvey Lee Holloway, age 90 of Monterey, will be held Tuesday, November 17th at 1:00 p.m. at Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Jimmy Davis of Woodcliff Baptist Church will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in Woodcliff Cemetery. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Holloway died Saturday night, November 14, 2020 at his residence. He was born Thursday March 20, 1930 in Monterey, TN to the late Lewis Fletcher Holloway and Hennie Erma Neal Holloway. He proudly served his country in the US Army and was a veteran of World War II. Following his return home from service, Harvey moved to Dayton, Ohio and worked at General Motors-Delco Products Division for 35 years. Upon his retirement in 2000, he returned home to Monterey. Harvey will be remembered for his generosity to family and friends. He enjoyed visiting the nursing home and delivering fruits and sweets to the patients. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors horseback riding and hunting. He was a longtime member of Woodcliff Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by brothers, Lloyd "Dayton" Holloway, William 'Bill' Holloway, James Horace Holloway (infant), and Alden "Bo" Holloway; sisters, Gusta Farley, Laura McDaniel, Beulah Chase, Vencie Williams and Vauda Davenport; and by special nephew, Donnie Holloway. Harvey is survived by sister in law, Ruth Holloway; nieces and nephews including, Sharon and Mitch Stone, Brenda and Shelly Holloway, Cindy Holloway, Dale Holloway, Gary Holloway; and great niece, Carissa (Daniel) Hoel and their child Brynlee. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Harvey's family wishes to express a sincere thank you to his three dedicated caregivers, Valerie Padgett, Angela Ramsey and Casey Denny.
