Harvey Farris

Funeral services for Mr. Harvey Eugene Farris, 77 of Cookeville, will be held at 11 am Thursday, January 2 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Farris and Rev. Jim Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 – 8 pm and again Thursday from 9 am until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Farris died suddenly December 30, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Wyndoline Webb Haney Farris, (whom he married February 27, 1987 in Rickman, TN; two daughters and son-in-law, Pam Jones, Teresa and Bruce Dockery, all of Cookeville; two step-sons and daughter-in-law, Greg Haney of Mississippi, Jeff and Angie Haney of Cookeville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Rozelle Farris, Fred and Maudie Farris all of Cookeville; sister, Irene Agee, of Cookeville; three granddaughters, Tiffany (Joey) Devillanueva, Diana Dockery, and Aliza Haney; two grandsons, Jude Haney and David Dockery; and three great-grandchildren, Manuel, Ryan, and Cody Devillanueva. He was born April 29, 1936 in Putnam County to the late Lemon and Nancy Belle Cunningham Farris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Farris; four brothers, Robert, George, Guy, and Clay Farris; and sister, Margaret Maxwell. Mr. Farris was a member of Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church. He was retired from Cummins Filtration (Fleetguard) with over 30 years of service. Mr. Farris enjoyed being outdoors. His hobbies included yard work and small engine repair. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
