Joint Memorial services for Mr. Grady W. Pinchon and Mrs. Mary Pinchon, of Sparta, TN and formerly of Nashville, husband and wife of 21 years, were held Thursday, June 17th at 3:00 p.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville. Pastor Jimmy Greer Sr. officiated. Visitation was held Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. In addition, funeral services were held Friday, June 18th at 11:00 a.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Visitation was held Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the Cookeville Chapel. Interment with Military Honors followed in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Mr. Grady Pinchon, age 70, died Friday June 11, 2021 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. Mrs. Mary Jane Pinchon, age 68, died Saturday, June 12th at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Grady was born September 8, 1950 in Madison County, Alabama to the late Shelby Lee and Callie Mae Pinchon. He served his country as a member the United States Marine Corps. Grady worked for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, as a K-9 Police Officer from August 1974 until December of 2000 and as an administor from September 2006 until July of 2013. Grady loved football, he and Mary were devoted fans of Alabama Crimson Tide (ROLL TIDE!) Along with Mary's family, Grady is survived by daughters, Greta Hall, Sabrina (Gerald) Roeback, Temeca Ford, TaTaneshia (Eric) Washington, Ecarterenia (Mitchell Wernsing) Johnson; grandchildren, Steven Hall, Spencor Hall, Myles Hall, Oliver Mayberry III, Graylen Mayberry, Olivia (Alante) Pierce, KiAna Mitchell, Mikyel Ford, Yahriel Ford, Seraiah Ford, Aliviah Washington and Eric Washington, Jr.; three great grandchildren; and by sister, Mary Evans and one niece and nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Ronnie Pinchon. Mary Jane Pinchon was born January 22, 1953 in Warren County to the late Robert and Margaret Leftwich and was a graduate of Warren Co. High School. She worked as an associate at Precision Molding in Sparta. She lived a simple, low key life that was centered around her children. She loved flowers, watching her soap opera 'stories' on TV. In addition to Grady's family, Mary is survived by her son, Thomas Arnold of Cookeville; daughter, Tonya Cummings of Sparta; grandchildren, Emily Arnold, Thomas Arnold, Tiffani Best and Heather Hayes; sisters, Norma Jean Coonrod, Kathy Spencer and Wanda Sue Thomas; and nieces and nephews including Alan McKinley.
